I have been looking for some affordable and flexible (ambidextrous) bows for my scout group.
I also wanted them to be one-piece, hard wearing, quick to setup and light enough for 8-year old cub scouts to use.
I wanted to use them for both target and field archery. As they are for scouting, barebow (no sights) was desired.
So after a bunch of research I decided to take the plunge and buy a trial one of the Snake bows.
What a surprise - for under £40, it is well made, feels really solid and has a smooth pull, all the way to my 32" draw - so it will be fine for all scout sizes! I have put on arrow rests for both right & left and trialled it with equal success.
Being low poundage (18lb), getting suitable arrows is vital for decent accuracy.
A short note, due to the recurve it does turn up in a very big tube!
Heartily recommended though all things considered
