a true insight into longbows :)

i have a rich and long ancestry which is why i got into the medieval archery side of the sport and found this book entertaining and eye opening.

i'd heard stories of 100lb longbows being used consistently throughout the period and Pip Bickerstaffe explains why that wasn't the case and what materials were being used to create the longbows of the period.

i think that if the medieval archers had had the technology that we have today then there would have been far more carnage ;)

i read this book cover to cover and very much enjoyed the read - thank you to Pip Bickerstaffe for writing such a good book :)
